![]() ![]() Use proximity ally champions to move through the battlefield while remaining relatively safe. Once attached, keep those friends healed up and speedy as often as possible. Hit enemies as often as possible to prock those shields, and leap to your pals. It’s no secret that Yuumi the Magical Cat is far more useful when attached to a friend, so your main focus should be jumping from one ally to another. Which makes the unique toolkit on Yuumi a refreshing attempt to shake up some of the support meta. The trick with the current meta is that squishy support champions are not used very much. Yuumi will instead follow her attached friend. The waves can be directed at cast, and will shoot in a straight line from the source in that direction no matter where Yuumi movesĪttached - Yummi’s ultimate is every bit the same while attached to a companion, aside from the inability to move independently. Yuumi can move while casting Final Chapter, and she can even cast Zoomies while Book is channeling the ultimate ability. If the waves strike an enemy three times, they are rooted in place for a moment. Using Book, Yuumi opens up her tomb companion to shoot wide waves of magical power. The ability can be stacked twice on the same ally, or (using the “W” to jump to another) spread across different allies. Zoomies has two charges, and can be stacked.Īttached - If attached to an ally, Yuumi will heal her ally instead, and apply the speed boost to them (which in turn makes Yuumi move faster because she’s attached). Yuumi’s “E” ability has two effects, the first of which heals Yuumi for a growing percentage, and the second is a speed boost. ![]() Though untargetable, Yuumi is rather squishy on her own, making the goal to keep your pals alive. This state also grants all of her other abilities a difference in execution.Īt high levels, Yuumi can jump from one champion to another almost without cooldown. While attached, Yuumi becomes untargetable. Yuumi’s “W” ability allows her to “attach” to an allied champion. This is the ability that truly shakes up the gameplay of Yuumi, and as a support all together. Using your mouse, you can direct the projectile. With a rather high range, if Yuumi’s shot travels for more than 1 second, it will grow in strength and deal more damage while also slowing the target on hit.Īttached - Yuumi’s projectile while attached to an allied champion (using her “W”) is the first attach in the game that can be controlled after firing. Yuumi has the ability to fire a magical projectile that travels in a straight line. If there is an active shield available Yuumi will give it to the champion she attaches too. When this happens, Yuumi can use her “W” to attach to an allied champion. When Yuumi attacks a champion, a bubble may flash around her. Having a chance for a shield, on hit of an enemy champion, turns Yuumi’s shield into more of a bonus than an ability. ![]() This makes Yuumi’s shield interesting, because it’s a passive. Often times support champions are judged on their ability to shield, and plenty of half-decent supports that do get a lot of rift time don’t have shields at all. Let’s go over Yuumi’s abilities first, then we’ll get into how to use them properly and effectively. That being said, there is going to be a tiny learning curve in both playing Yuumi and playing against someone using the champion. The design and abilities of Yuumi the Magical Cat are both very unique to League of Legends in its current state. It’s the first time in a few years that Riot Games is adding another Enchanter Support champion to League of Legends, and most of the world is excited about it. With the League of Legends patch 9.10, the Rift sees the addition of Yuumi the Magical Cat to the game. ![]()
